Where It Began
The Hinnenkamp’s have been married for more than 15 years and are the parents of three wonderful children. Their middle child, Chloe, is the inspiration for Clo-Clo Vegan Foods. Chloe has Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) – a chronic allergic inflammatory disease of the esophagus that is triggered mainly by food proteins. Wendy decided to take action.
The passion Wendy brings to Clo–Clo’s Vegan Foods is highly personal, as she sought to find foods her daughter can digest. The Hinnenkamps bring years of experience dealing with special dietary needs and have settled on a plant-based lifestyle for their children. This passion to help their daughter inspired Wendy to create a delicious series of dairy-free products made entirely from plants.
They were fortunate to meet Chef Robert, who collaborated with Wendy to create plant-based foods that Chloe and others can eat without having to worry about an allergic reaction. At Clo-Clo Vegan Foods, we believe that a plant-based diet is better for your health, economical, and better for the planet.
